Found this curved clip planchet mint error JFK half at a great best offer price. It is a pretty significant mint error, and a nice addition to my Kennedy collection

Nice example, and with a clear "Blakesley effect" on the obverse

That’s a sweet one. Hard to find clips on Half Dollars. I have one but hesitant to post in your thread.

Here it is. I consider myself very fortunate to have this error in my collection. And it’s still raw.

Both are great examples, with @Collecting Nut's coin winning the contest. LOL
Hard to imagine either coin being in circulation for any length of time.

The rim, opposite from the clip is either nonexistent, or severely weakened.

I don’t think my coin is a 64. Maybe I should have it graded.

Definitely. Multiple clipped coins are selling for $400-500, and up.

"Clipped" planchets are not actually clipped at any time. They are Incomplete. The planchet itself was cut out of the stock sheet was to close to a previously cut out planchet.
So nothing was ever cut or bitten out of the planchet ;)
