1994 environmental damage penny

    Found this 1994 penny from Walmart coinstar definitely environmental damage but it's a cool piece looks like Lincoln has a mask on 20230216_174658973.jpg

    With the zinc core now exposed to the elements, it is just a matter of time before it disintegrates.

    That coin will slowly but surely cease from existence one day. Makes me wonder if mine started out looking like yours does. Here’s mine but more advanced in its disappearance act. I have others but you get the idea.

    Another example of why I dislike that the mint went with copper coated zinc for cents.

    Like a science project to see what would happen it can be confusing sometimes if you don't really know or learning like me I found it and thought well that's not a error then did some research and found what I had makes sense

    It’s been in the ground. I can’t read a date but they are a few places left that you can identify as a zinc Lincoln Cent.
