Sounds like another scammer who needs to be reported to www.ic3.gov then.

I think while the pictures are deceptive, there is enough shown to see that their is obvious wear too the discerning buyer especially on the close ups of the shield...

Obviously just another "subjective" grade that not many would agree with... Along the lines of a SGS coin, no criminal laws govern coin grading... So While highly unethical, not illegal. Unfortunately, sorry to say, just another hard ebay lesson learned IMHO...

As always, Just my nickels worth...

The 1914D Lincoln that Jack shows is an obvious fake, changed from a 1944 D.
Also, check his feedback, it is the same coin that some genius gave him a neutral on, and then apparently returned, look at the pictures, same coin.

even funnier, look at his info section, that has to be 3 point type, I would need a magnifying glass to read that junk.

    Also: http://cgi.ebay.com/1926-S-Buffalo-...yZ139808QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

that is an MS-62 Buffalo? More like a pitted X F-- at best.

On May-25-07 at 10:38:25 PDT, seller added the following information:

It has come to my attention that this is possibly an altered date. Please determine for yourself, and bid accordingly!!!

On May-25-07 at 14:36:44 PDT, seller added the following information:

Multiple people have emailed me claiming that this is not a genuine 1914-D. If you wish to cancel your bid, I will honor it.

Again, I do not guarantee that this coin is genuine. Lincoln specialists believe it is a 1944-D altered into a 1914-D.

I am in no way attempting to trick anyone into purchasing a counterfeit coin. If you want your bid cancelled, email me.

He pulled the coin as a possible fake on May 25th, but then relisted it, as it is NOW running.

Vipergts2,there's far too many braindead rip-off merchants up there on eBay.All eBay cares about is the power of the almighty '$' sign.

I've seen the king-o coins offerings on ebay before and I always thought it was odd that his photos were taken in that strange orange/amber light. I immediately suspected that he was hiding things.

Now we know. Pass it on.
