hi everyone! i have just purchased a 1904 Liberty Double eagle via a private sale and have just had it tested by xrf, here are the results

    Au 89.4
    Cu 10.1
    Ag 0.3

    Weight is 33.41 g
    Diameter 34.3 mm

Do these results look ok? is the small amount of silver normal? I know they are supposed to be 90% gold 10% copper but cant find anywhere which suggests any SILVER ?

Aldo does it look like a original GENUINE 1904 US Coin, and not one of those real gold copys/counterfeits ?

Would love to get your opinions on this!

Appearance seems good :) not sure
about the silver content though. as
I don’t see that in the composition.

Composition is ok, as impurities are quite common. The Liberty is genuine and in nice condition. I don‘t see red flags at all.
Should grade high MS62 or low MS63.

My 1904 is the first coin I bought, trying
to find it in my photos if not will just take
air out of the slab box and shoot some
    pics.
