I realize I am like the grim reaper of the coin Hobby, but as long as the Chinese company is able to continue to do business there is no end in sight for these…

Now an 1872 Liberty Seated Dollar; current Bay listing will undoubtedly be removed but that doesn’t end the problem:

Cert has a good on-line image- swing and a miss!

Web site has changed its name 3 times since I started reporting it as a “sponsored” add on Face Book:

You'd think if they were going to all this trouble they'd at least make an effort to use a motto reverse. It's really insulting they think we're that stupid. Unless they actually sell these things in which case "...there's one born every minute."

Many of the really deceptive ones that made it into TPG holders had "mistakes" made by the counterfeiters that showed how poor Numismatists they really are...

The seller of the 1872's ended the auctions on my note and plead ignorance; he then sent me images of this one and said he had three of them:D,,,

Yes, and he claimed he didn't understand what that meant. He stated "someone" told him they were genuine and it looked just like a slabbed PCGS Eagle image he sent me.
I then sent him the following image and he said "oh no!"...

Just waiting for them to get the label colors spot on.

Maybe we should start buying raw coins and stay away from the slabbed ones? All this fakery is going to eventually hurt TPG business, I think.

I think that's the first Barber I've seen in a fake holder. I guess they do everything now.

I'm at a loss for words. This makes me both sad and angry.

At least PCGS backs it up with a guarantee, with a raw coin your left for the sharks..

As long as the "coin" is in a genuine PCGS slab...

Ugh. It’s a plague. I don’t know which is worse. Counterfeits or Covid. And both with the same origin

I always take the extra steps to make sure I am dealing with the genuine article, I even give them a call :)

    Vertigo Did someone say bust?

If you go to all this trouble, at least make the label fade in the same way. That should be the easiest part of making the counterfeit holder...
