I got my first Ostrogothic silver coin the other day, Inasta, auction 105. It's a 1/4 Siliqua of Athalaric in the name of either Justin or Justinian. I love it so much! Tiny. The pics don't do it justice; blowing it up to size means blowing up all the tiny defects that aren't too bad in-hand. Like when HD TV was new & the talking heads weren't quite ready for it. I think it's in the name of Justin; there's some pieces of letters left on the R-side Ob-Leg & that seems to fit better, but who knows. Not too bad for €65. Especially since I was already (hoping/determined to be) getting other lots too, so paying the shipping regardless.

    12mm X 11mm

Ob: DN IVSTI-(NVS AVC / NIAN AVC)
Diad. bust R. in "Ostrogothic" garment (I like Hahn's phrasing of the obverse's description)
