A new one for the Cuba collection, and another for the foreign coins struck in US. This one was struck in Philadelphia.

 

Just back from the CSNS show in Chicago. This has to be my favorite purchase.

Not really new but haven’t posted it. 1908 Yunnan 50 cents. One of a handful I got from an old collection that came into my LCS.

Did a little horse trading today. Sold 2 modern gold comemms, Statue of Liberty and Mt. Rushmore, held that cash for about 2 minutes because I wanted this

 

I love it. I saw some of these on MA Shops recently and before that I didn't know they existed. I don't think I've ever seen anyone share one on CoinTalk. Unfortunately even if I wanted to buy one MA Shops has many of the same problems as eBay when it comes to buying Cuban stuff.

 

Which is really ridiculous considering these are pre-embargo and a US mint product.

 

The problem is you can't use any payment methods for something with Cuba in the name. If it's not in the name, no problem, but they're mostly from countries without the embargo and I don't want to ask them to do something that might be considered unethical or illegal.

 

Here is a 2022 Turkey 20 lirasi celebrating Galileo, and a 2022 Canada 2 dollars with a black rim to mark the queen's death.
