Time for the reveal. I really like the looks of this coin. I was with everyone else thinking that it should be a few points down on the scale. I wonder if it got a bump higher for the pedigree?

It has been said before that quite a few coins with that Stack's W 57th St Collection pedigree are optimistically graded.

The pedigree may have given it a bump. This was part of the material that was in the back room which was “selectively shown,” although this no great rarity.

The more I look at it, the more I like it!

No matter the pedigree or the grade, it is now part of the “BuffaloHunter’s East 2nd St Collection” :D

All things considered, that may be one of the most accurately graded pieces from that collection. After all, most people guessed some version of very fine.
I once owned an 1891 Seated Quarter from that collection.
The coin just barely had the details of a very fine but was slabbed choice extremely fine 45.
