The FG is doubled strong and the RICA in AMERICA is doubled as well. Not worth much, but cool. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

That's MD Sheila, not a DD.

It shows the exact same thing in the book that Wexler published. I thought MD too. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Your's aren't the same as those in the picture.

No? I can't get the exact picture of the FG right. But it is definitely doubled. I agree with the rest of the pictures though. I think MD as well.

Nope. Not the FG either. Yours takes away from the design, doesn't add to it. Classic MD. You can clearly see that the FG in the book adds to the design.

Ok, well I just learned something new then. Thank you for pointing that out to me.

No, the doubling on the "RIC" on Wexler's example is to the east. Yours is to the west. The doubling on the "G" of the designer's initial is to the south. Yours is to the north.

Its nice to see you using books as well as online references. You've come a long way in a very short time, and imo are already well ahead of most with the time you have in. With that said, and considering this is a 94 thread, there's a very interesting "trail die" variety for this date that may be worth keeping an eye out for. I forget it's designation, and probably should've looked it up before opening my mouth, but it's quite significant and has a "cool factor" well beyond most doubled dies, especially from that era, imo.

Thank so much for the compliment. I have also taken the time to read the books as well. Though I do have kind of a hard time understanding what it all means because I am very much a hands on learner. I'm slow at learning to begin with. It takes me a lot of time to put into learning this stuff, but I really enjoy it. It is a full time job for me lol.
