Hello everyone, I found this Wheat Cent in an old jar a family member gave me. I think it is in excellent condition (with only a few hits) and would like to send it and some other great looking coins to NGC for grading. What grade would you give for this beauty? For those collecting coins for a very long time let's give the newbies a shot at the grade!
Matte Proof - 0 It is odd that you would find that in an old jar a family member gave you. They didn't exactly circulate.
I like the woodyness of the field but clearly circulated and a 100 years to new. AU but is it really worth the coin to slab? What am I missing? Or should I just not comment on anything anywhere on this day of fools?
Just a innocent April Fool's day joke.. Ok.. Many members got it and some didn't The last year that the Wheat Cent Reverse was minted was 1958. I posted a picture of a well known 1959 counterfeit Wheat Cent. It should be the Lincoln Memorial Building Here's my old thread from 2019 https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1959-d-wheat-the-coin-that-shouldnt-exist.339342/
I was watching an NTC graded MS64 21 Morgan in a cracked case on Feebay from a local seller. I figured I'd pick up locally and save the $7 shipping. Maybe flip it at a coin meeting for $10 over. It sold for $58 and $7 shipping. 2X what I figured. Best picture. Looks a we bit polished? Enhanced?
