    These are all our coins.

If you want a wishlist, I would go with 7jags' McMillan obverse uniface and a Derwent Wood (any will do)

    Anyway, to resume the thread
1684 4th bust shilling, ex Willis
    upload_2023-2-25_0-27-36.jpeg

1807 restrike silver proof halfpenny, ex Selig. I think it is highly likely this coin is also ex Foster 79part (1953), graded EF but as a lot of 20. I don't believe a silver proof would be listed as part of a bulk lot unless impaired - which this is with the reverse scratches. This lot was bought by the dealer Geoffrey Hearn, who listed it in 1954 as mint state, but is unquestionably the same example. Don't know of any more.

Charles I E5/2 shilling with mm. Tun, ex Peter Mitchell collection
    upload_2023-2-25_0-39-28.jpeg

Undated Taylor restrike with a nude Britannia reverse (Peck 991). ex Boulton family collection

1868 proof third farthing in cupro-nickel. ex Cheshire Collection and Harris
    upload_2023-2-25_0-47-28.jpeg

'Welsh Marches' halfcrown, ex Peter Mitchell collection. My personal view is that these were struck at Hereford in the middle of October 1644. The Bristol style declaration, large plume mark (also used on the Chester unite) and possibly indicating the position of Prince Rupert as President of Wales until 30th Nov 1644 whilst he was at Bristol from the end of September, together with the arrival at Hereford of Gerard with 3000 men on the 1st October for over-wintering in the area would neatly dovetail to provide a plausible case for this issue.

some marks on slab, but a great version of a rather scarcer sovereign date

Uh, NO! This coin is ex-Terner. Sorry about that....Does anyone know who put his collection together? I think it may have been Goldberg(s).
I don't know why the picture looks so awful as in coin it is quite prooflike.

Elizabeth I quarter angel with mm. crescent over scallop. Cracked along the inner circle by FRANCIE with some deposits, but excessively rare. ex Baker and Comber collections
    upload_2023-3-19_20-27-28.jpeg

Edward IV half angel with mm. cinquefoil over pierced cross. These dies and a groat (type XXI/XIX) appear to be the only examples for cinquefoil where an earlier die has been overmarked for use in that period. It appears that there was a wholesale withdrawal of dies and new ones with the cinquefoil mark made from scratch, this contradicting previous operating practice where all dies were overmarked until worn out. Anyway, somewhat commoner than the previous coin with 5(?) known and ex Ossey collection
    upload_2023-3-19_20-38-2.jpeg

Charles II third hammered issue halfcrown with the legend reading CAROLV (no S). According to ESC there should be dozens of these extant, but I'm only aware of this one and the Burstal coin, so probably much rarer than the literature would suggest. Ex Hunt, Adams and Hulett collections
    upload_2023-3-19_20-45-3.jpeg

Edward IV heavy coinage groat with mm. Cross Fleury/Lis. London mint. Ex Lessen.
    upload_2023-3-19_20-49-7.jpeg

Edward IV light coinage groat of York. ex Inder collection
    upload_2023-3-19_20-51-23.jpeg

Charles I Tower halfcrown, type Hks 3a2. This rare with the full legend reading of BRIT and FRAN. ex Lingford, Hunt and Hulett collections

Following up, ANACS removed lacquer and graded it SP62. Because many Canadian collectors consider him a butcher, the coin no longer has his provenance. I figured it was better in the long run to not have Cook associated with it. I wonder if anyone else has deliberately removed the provenance of a famous collector... sort of the opposite of this thread.

Never removed a provenance, but then, you can easily check against the images if illustrated to reassign it.

This thread nearly fell off the bottom of the page, so let's resume.
Charles I 3/3a mule sixpence (obverse has an inner circle, the reverse doesn't). Ex Hulett collection.

Henry VIII 3rd coinage halfgroat struck at the Bristol mint under William Sharrington. ex Freehill collection.

Nice coin but I think you were cheated out of 1 gold Escudo. Please contact the auction firm and try to get an extra gold 1 Escudo out of them. I have one of these too! but unfortunately it's hairlined.

The 1825 is also quite an early date. Here's mine but not from a major collection.

    upload_2023-3-29_23-50-57.jpeg

1875H halfpenny, the H indicating it was struck at the Heaton mint in Birmingham. Freeman 323 with dies 13+K*. ex C W Peck collection

Elizabeth I sixth coinage halfgroat with mm. Key (obv. over Woolpack). ex Walter Wilkinson collection
    upload_2023-3-30_0-1-10.jpeg

And another ex Wilkinson coin, this time a 3rd issue sixpence with mm castle (obverse over crown). His ticket suggests this is possibly the only one known. Definitely not a thing of great beauty!
    upload_2023-3-30_0-7-53.jpeg
    upload_2023-3-30_0-9-10.png

And another rarity from the same place. This time a 1579 5th issue sixpence with muled mintmarks, Latin Cross over Eglantine on the obverse and Greek Cross on the reverse.
    upload_2023-3-30_0-12-53.jpeg

For those interested in the coinage of Elizabeth I, Ian Brown, Chris Comber and Walter Wilkinson (BCW) did the research and wrote the definitive study for the silver coins, which is published by Galata.
