So should ingot bars be receiving Sheldon scale grading?

    ONE

    TWO

How about these being described as "COIN" in the auction title?

    COINS???

Check out all this stuff using coin grading scale? I thought the Sheldon scale was for coins only? Correct me... I am still a novice at this stuff!

    SGS STUFF!!!

I only found this stuff because they are back to Grading Casino Tokens using the Sheldon Scale now instead of the old Casino Chip Grading Scale they tried earlier.

Not at all trying to support SGS, but why not? Is there another scale that would be less confusing?

    I am truly shocked!!!!
I never knew that SGS graded anything below MS-69 or MS-70!
These are either really rare, or very ugly, more likely AU's.

Beat me to the punch on that one Frank. Less than PR70UDC?
Must have found these with a metal detector.

Well, at least when sgs is grading art bars and silver round potential bidders can't run to the PCGS selfserving price guide and overpay for the silver.(Potential buyers have to overbid on there own accord)
I might also add I was shocked to see a low grade of PR 68 CAM on the Vette round, it must look nasty in person!

It seems a bit strange to grade an art bar or a silver round. To me,all it is is just a bit of silver with a funny design stamped on it.I can understand if it was a coin.Grading bars & rounds - give us a break!

sgs will grade anything if they think they can make a buck. Change that, they will slab anything, I don't think you can call what they do grading.

That's why they deserve to be known as 'Scumburger 'Grading' 'Service''.

He says that he's suprised the guy hasn't been shot, yet.

I notice that a member of this forum has an ID that corresponds to the acronym of that self-slabber. I have also noticed that he/she usually visits this forum late at night. Its the same ID he/she used on the eBay coin discussion board.

    hamman88 Spare some change, sir?

You guys have it alllllllll wrong. They don't use the sheldon scale. They use the SGS scale.

Here are the conversions. Sgs on the left, Sheldon on the right

    66 0
    67 40
    68 55
    69 60
    70 62

SGS will slab anything if there's money in it for them. You could send them your dirty underwear along with a check for $5 and they'll be happy to certify and grade it for you! ie Fruit of the Loom MS66 BN

    I'm wearing some AG BVD's.
Should I dip them in some acetone, before I send them in ?

Or maybe early in the morning, or maybe around mid-day, or . . .

Kind of depends on how many time zones apart you and he are. There are members in many different countries and areas of the world.

Absolutely NOT. Underwear are more like currency - much more delicate than a coin. Any tampering will be noticed by anyone BUT(T) SGS.
Wear them until you're ready to "gently" peel them off and submit for grading. I suggest a seal a meal at this time as it holds the "fragrance" and can increase the grade.

A vintage pair of even AG BVDs can go for thousands by the PSU (Pretty Smelly Underwear) scale. With the original package and receipt values can go even higher!
