Alright guys, who's goin'? I'll be there on the second week, taking the Byzantine class with @ancientcoinguru !
Crudge-mudge, grumble, (exhibits jealousy).......wish I was attending. At any rate, have fun fellows. If God grants, I'll one day attend and maybe take a grading class.........What's the 'nite life there?
The dorm area of the college, where many attendees stay, has the "lunar lounge," which from my understanding is basically a coin camp BS-around-the-bonfire type of a setting, usually with adult beverages. There is also a nice brewpub or two where the Morgan dollar instructors are known to have been seen.
I am attending a mini-seminar. The rest of the time I'll try to protect my life savings from the bourse floor.
I'll be there first week and I'm taking Steve Roach's writing seminar. I look forward to making new friends. Russ
It's funny, I'm a local and I've never been to summer seminar. Doh. I can't make it this year, either, because I have to work.
For you folks at seminar, I stopped by the ANA library with my two boys to turn in some books and borrow some more, and took a quick tour through the museum. I wish I could have met some of you! I work weekends, so I'm working during the coin show, too. But I'm *supposed* to get off at 4 pm, so I'll run down there and see what I can see in two hours.
I might make it to the show for a little while, but I'll have to see. Flight gets in at 10:40, shuttle to ANA will get me there around 11:30, check in, lunch, set up the classroom, wrangle coins from the ANA collection -- I might be able to spare an hour or two. Of course, I should probably start packing and stop chatting.
@messydesk I've been keeping a list matching members' true ID with their forum names. Please save me the trouble of looking in the course catalogue...Who are you? I may have been in one of your classes.
Gotta love waking up at 2am to catch a flight! It's finally time to get a little messy #CantWaitToMatriculate!
