These days I'm focusing on silver Greek and Roman issues, and silver Middle Eastern issues (pre-Islamic and Islamic). I guess deep down inside I'm still a bit of a silver bug (though now I collect instead of investing).

I have a few bronze ancients I collected when i was starting out, but as my silver collection grows they feel out of place. Honestly, they are not worth selling as they are $20-$30 coins, and giving them away to people who appreciate them seems like a nicer thing to do.

I have a few more bronze coins to give away, but I'll save that for another time.

Anyway, I'm surprised I have no takers yet :wideyed:

Both coins are now claimed. I will try to get them out in the mail on Saturday. I'll probably do another one of these giveways before the end of the year. I hope the two recipients will enjoy their new coins.

Yes, it was nice of you @Sallent; however, I have a problem since you did not include age challenged collectors. ;)

Both coins are in excellent shape. It's not like you're giving away culls.

Yeah, sorry about that Bing. I was just trying to do something nice for the new collectors. I'll ask Santa to keep you in mind come Christmas, in case he comes across anything interesting at his ancient coin dealer's shop in Coral Gables, FL. After all, I've benefited from tons of free knowledge thanks to you.

You've had some interesting threads of Greek and Roman coins over the last 7 months that provided excellent historical insight on the time period those coins were minted...at least I thought they were very interesting read. I really liked the one on the coin from Sulla's time. Not to mention all the varieties of coins you share in the threads here. I've put a few coins in my want-list thanks to some of the images you've shared.

Well thank you. I'm blushing. Well, maybe not. But I feel like I learn something new everyday on this forum and many of my coins are a result of seeing like coins posted by others. But, I'll take the kudos. Thank you once again.
