Surinam Scarcity: 1966 Gulden With Lustre!!

    So this coin came up and has been on my wait list for some time. it is the Surinam 1966 (NOT 1962) One Gulden. This coin was struck at a time that silver was rising in price and evidently the Mintage was held back at the mint.
    Only a few escaped the melting pot and were either held back or perhaps made the trip to the steaming jungles of South America.
    Regardless the coin is scarce to rare and apologise for the poor pictures as this coin has fabulous lustre:

    Very nice pick-up. I have the '62 version. Great design on the reverse.

    Ah thanks. The '62s out there but the '66s not so much. I now have an AUish but pleasant backup coin now.
