Am looking to join the ANA, and could not find the the benefits for the different levels. I don't know if I just missed it. I am looking at it on mobile, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi, the major difference (and only one I know of) between gold and platinum is the magazine. For the gold membership, you can only get the digital version by logging into the web site. For the platinum version, they mail you a paper magazine every month (and you can still log in and get it digitally if you like). I know it's old fashioned, but I like the paper magazine best. Both memberships get access to the ANA library, and if you are not fortunate enough to live within driving distance like I do, they will mail you the books! You only pay shipping. It's a great resource! I was overseas for military duty and they still mailed me books. Now that I'm back, I go there quite often. The library is worth the membership price by itself, but so is the magazine, and so is the NGC submission benefit. So, the cost of membership pretty much rocks.
Plus you HAVE to be an ANA member to get insurance from Hugh Wood. That is a VERY large savings over other sources of insurance.
And if you are a YN they have a program that gets you free coins for A's on your report card, another program that allows you to earn free ancient coins, and another program that allows you to earn free early American coppers. And you can participate in all three.
Platinum includes the print magazine Gold is digital only Silver is an additional household member (spouse, child) and includes digital magazine. All of the other benefits are available to all members, including the library and free admision to the museum and ANA shows.
Thank you for the explanation, when I saw it I just wanted to make sure that there were not any other benefits gained by choosing a higher level. Thank you for the helpful info.
They had a deal when I renewed last week that I got a free Silver Eagle for renewing my membership at the platinum level... Already have the coin and the first copy of the magazine in my possession
