Reasonable amount to ask when selling circulated, bulk Ike's?

I see Craigslist ads running anywhere from $1.25 to $2.00.

Do people really pay that for these?

A quick search of eBay looks like unslabbed, circulated Ike's go for between $1.25 and $1.50 per coin. After fees, I don't see much profit there. Maybe they're just trying to get rid of them?

I only have about 30, so not a huge deal. Just curious.

Assuming you'll net $1.15 each, you'll get far more than $4.50 worth of enjoyment by spending them. That's supposedly what they were made for.

I won't sell them on eBay.

I'm trying to sell them on Craigslist and am wondering what a fair price would be to ask.

I would try to find a local auction house to put them in one of their auctions. I've seen them go for like $3-4 each. And yet when I have some (and no auctions are coming up), I can't sell them for face value.

I've had trouble spending then at face value! "That's not a real coin"...

If you have the bloody mindedness for it spending them in shops would be more amusement than any $2 profit might buy you.

$1.25 each is fairly reasonable to ask; if no one is interested you could always have fun seeing how various people react when spending them.

You can always spend them at face. If you want to sell remember one thing, you can always come down in price. Try asking a slightly higher price per piece and offer a discount for the entire lot. :)

If you spend them just don't forget to look for varieties first.;)
