Someone's been watching too much Ancient Aliens. I miss the days when the history channel covered actual history, and not reality shows, conspiracy shows, and big foot.
They just premiered Barbarians Rising. The first episode (about Hannibal, and Viriathus) isn't not blow-your-socks-off amazing but I very much enjoyed it. So if you want a (weekly) taste of history from the History Channel this isn't a bad thing to watch.
Did anyone else here read the article and then immediately go to Google Maps satellite view to try to find it? (I'm still searching )
Aliens came here first. That got Earthlings excited and we went into space. Then Star Trek came and well, you know the rest of the story.
I watched "Barbarians rising", great history....except Hannibal was NO barbarian. Carthage was even more advanced then the R.R. He was one of the ten best captains of history, along with Subotai/Genghiz Khan/Frederick the Great/Alexander the Great/Robert E. Lee/ Erich Manstein/Eugene of Savoy/etc. About, "Ancient Aliens" there are a lot of unexplained events/structures....impossiible for man to have been responsible for. John
Petra is still on my bucket list but I'm not traveling to Middle Eastern countries again until things simmer down. My Dad visited Petra in 1961 and basically rode the tourist bust up to the main structures and explored it with nobody around. Those were the days...
Funny post, but ancient aliens? I just think it's absolutely amazing what a couple of brainiac Roman engineers could achieve with a 1000 oxen and unlimited slave labor. Those were the days...
But wait...you claim to have found evidence of ancient Roman construction tools proving that the Romans built it. Well, I have an answer for that too!
Looks like those extraterrestrial rectal probes have some scarry side effects. Poor guy, he actually looked quite normal before the abduction and subsequent probing.
I'll bet you guys a Siliqua to guess what Mr. Tsoukalos has a degree in. You would think that he would have a PH.D. in Ancient history or archeology for all his "well researched" claims.
