Shipping coins to Europe ?

    Go to there wed site and the UPU. The Italian new's covers this all the time

    Done, had a look at their 2014 financial report. 3,697,000,000 units per year and about 57,000 reports of items which were delivered late (after 30 days), damaged or stolen.
    Now it's your turn to provide data.

    Not sure for Malta, but usually customs clearance causes the longest delays. What was the declared value?

    I paid $40. for the coin but I put a declared value of $15. and that it was a reproduction medal, made in Italy.

    They shouldn't hold a $15 item, but you never know...

    Marking packages is always problematic...I like "medallion" or "stamped metal part"

    LOL, I like the "stamped metal part". Note to self for future use. I put down "reproduction medal".

    It's rare for me to return a coin, and of all places Malta

    It's not in the 2014 financial report there is no loss to there post office for in coming mail
    look at the comments in mail lost and stolen at and after customs

    Just a follow up, the seller received the fake coin I shipped back and issued me a full Paypal refund with shipping.
    He did the right thing
