ughh I was thinking about making a thread about this topic just a few hours ago.

 

interesting that someone may have been doing the equivalent of filling out a whitman album with their coins.

Just kidding. I watched a video of the guy unearthing them earlier today. That's the dream.

 

I wonder how they determined the ethnicity / religious background of the original owner of the coins; unless the assumption is that only Jewish folk lived in Modi'in in that period, in which case it would be a fair guess that the owner was Jewish, too.
