    Maybe it is a 1914, possibly a 'D'

If I had to guess I would agree with you and go with 1915 as a probable date for that coin. Of course, most of the sellers on ebay would claim the coin is a 1914-D and try to get a hundred dollars for it!

Even if it was a 1914-D, would someone really pay that much for a coin in the same condition as this one?? It's so ugly, i don't even want to put it in a 2x2 and add it to my binder....but i will

As hard as it is to believe, yes, someone probably would pay that much for your ugly coin if you could get ANACS to certify it as a genuine 1914-D. There seems to be no limit to what folks are willing to pay for key dates when it comes to Lincoln Cents. I have even seen 1914-D cents that are obviously altered 1944-D cents selling on Ebay for hundreds of dollars. And the seller states in the listing that he believes the coin is probably a fake. And yet people will still bid high for it! Go figure; the madness!!

Well unfortunately after comparing coins off google from 1910-1919, i'm convinced it's an 1915 unless someone else beleives otherwise. No 14-D here

Oh well, still a good find and my oldest circulation find to date.

My oldest wheat cent is a 1909 wheatie, but that was passed on to my from my grandfather

I can make out the lower curve of the last digit. First guess is a 5, but there is the off-chance of it being a 3. I can't make out any mintmarks either. That thing sure has seen better days, but then again, it is a wheatie!

Hmm, now you have me thinking. It definitely could be a 3 as well.

From the looks of the coin and what is left of the Date, I would say 191 A.D.!

1915. I'm thinking the three on that coin had more of a bottom half with the end pointing down. In a more ''gothic'' type. JMO

My first impression was a 1913, no mint mark. Nice find anyway.

Hmm, i thought it was a 1915 but i guess there is enough people thinking its a 1913 to make me study it a bit longer
