I seem to find 1918-P fairly often, but those ones that I listed have elluded me. Of course I'm mostly missing Ds and Ss because I live on the east coast.

I averaged about two boxes of Cents per week last year (and 2 boxes of nickels). Been collecting since I was 8, but didn't really start roll hunting for real until a few years ago. Wish I'd bought sacks of coins with some of my Star Wars card money back in the 70s, instead of SW cards...

Wait so I may have missed something. You found all these wheaties in a box of cents?

I was returing halves at the bank and asked if they had old coins. The teller said do you like wheat pennies and I said yes. He gave me five rolls that supposedly had all wheats. Most rolls had around 40 wheats and the rest memorial cents. The last roll had 9 wheats. They where all customer rolls.

I messed up earlier in my report. The first reading that says 5 1925 is supposed to say 1924.

    (language) Wonderful find.
The reason we do this, really. Or at least the reason we should do this.

Thanks Lon. I believe everyone will eventually hit a small jack pot. Did you ever see my posts about my nickel find? That was truly crazy and can't get better then that. If you have not seen it I'll tell you what happened. Happy hunting Lon and good luck!

Nice Endeavor. I like the finds. I never find 2009 nickels. Also congrats in the wheats. In my area a box is yeilding no more than 7 wheats a box. Sometimes as little as 3 a box.

Thank you. I've never gotten as many wheats (10) from a box as I did with this one. I have heard others on here say that they never see 2009 nickels, but I have seen a good amount (relatively speaking) around here. I don't know the exact total but I would say between 12-15 so far. Almost all Philadelphia minted.

$25 BWR Cents #1 - Solid 2016-P. At least it didn't take much time to search.

    $25 BWR Cents #2 - 29, 29-S, 44, 57, 58-D, and 439 coppers.

$50 CWR Nickels - 43-P, a dateless buffalo, and 12 other average circulated pre-1960 coins.

    $50 CWR Dimes - Skunk

Sounds like a tough day AllCoExpat, but that 29-S would've been a slot filler for me. :)

    2 boxes of dimes
    Box 1-skunk
    Box 2- 1949
Box two broke my three box skunk streak for dimes and was a hole filler.

if it has good wheat ears the VDB should be very clear. sounds like this one is not a VDB sorry but a 1909 in decent shape is still a nice find

Well I see lettering under light. I think it is worn or poorly stamped. I will check again.

I honestly couldn't search through nickels, dimes and quarters without having a folder I was trying to fill out. The silver/scarce dates are too infrequently found for it to be fun for me. Since I keep Memorial copper, cents are always a good time though.
