Not a tune, not a coin. Uh, so why is this guy posting it here then ? Just have a look at this video, try to replace Justin Biber's mum's thing or all the stuff about the geography of India by any coin related subject from the internet, and you will have a close sight of what is life for most of us coin addicts : just something we do for doing nothing else, yet Enjoy Q
The school procrastination bit was uncomfortably familiar. I still spend a lot of time in the dark playground .
V70 => thanks for the 5 Seconds of Summer tune (yah, I'm actually the dude that still buys CDs => it rocks)
Any band that hero worships Green Day is OK in my book. Oh, and I also collect CDs and have a huge collection of 60s, power pop, indie, etc. I haven't made it to vinyl yet.
Here's one I've gone a while without posting, my Justinian solidus: One of my favorite film themes, the sing-along version...
Not to take away from the coin but that video was just great! Can we do some more theme songs? I already posted mine...but I may do them again...but right now it's the Queens. @stevex6 get in here because this is up you alley. Just give it a try!
Yeah if I was locked in an epic life or death struggle (or at least during a final exam or something ), I'd want Duel of the Fates to be playing in the background. John Williams is a music god. As for the sing-along version, definitely one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while. I was losing it all throughout but I really lost it at "Cyborg Jesus" (man, why couldn't Cyborg Jesus have been my principal...? ).
... all of the vinyl that I collected from these dudes was under "Angel City" (man, with these guys and ACDC crankin' out winners => I thought that Australia fricken rocked!!!)
Although it hasnt arrived yet this one I've wanted since I started collecting. I named my dog after the greek hero Ajax and sure enough the greeks had him on coins so that was pretty cool. Unfortunately most of the finer examples run a bit more than my budget right now but i hope to upgrade one day.
One of these is very high on my want list as well. The more famous Ajax is the big one who duelled Hektor for a day. The Lokrians placed the other Ajax on their coins. He's referred to as Ajax the Lesser, but when he ticked off Athena, it took the gods three attempts before they managed to kill him. Both of the Ajaxes were pretty tough customers.
