I assume this will be on the Reverse set as well. 2006 reverse looked great, not sure how I feel about the 2007.

I believe, the reverse of 2007 Proofs, Uncirculated and Reverse Proofs are supposed to represent the "Executive Branch" of the US Government. The image of the building (on the above link) does not readily get recognized as the White House.

July 17th the platinum Proof and Unc. go on sale. I think ND86 said production was not limited. Is this right?

I've thought about getting some platinum. I'm just not sure about spending that much money. I'll have to think about it.

I hope we hear exactly what the anniversary set consists of before they place the 2007 platinum coins up for sale on the mint website. If it is only the proof coins in the set or if they have three coins including an uncirculated.

I hope they dont surprise everyone either. Last rumor I read was 2 coins: One 1/2 oz. proof and One 1/2 oz.reverse proof.

That sure doesn't look like the white house. Although it's changed drastically in the last 6 years. It looks more like a shield than a building.
I do believe that the Rev. Proofs will be quite collectable, if not unaffordable.
I'd love to own one but that might limit all the other coins I want to acquire.

elaine, the reverse proof will be special because they are the only ones that will ever to be minted. I added up with the bump on my shoulders, but all of the coins you listed would add up to more than 100,000 and will continue to grow while the census will never exceed 15,000 2007 reverse proofs.

I seems to me that the seal could represent the Executive Branch the same as the building. There are more buildings in the executive branch than the White House. (Pentagon?) I don't know just guessing.

When I first read about the three different images on the Reverse of the APE for 2006, 2007 and 2008 being: Legislative Branch, Executive Branch and Judicial Branch of the government respectively, I thought they would portray an image which we all (in the World) can relate to. The 2006 Reverse showed two columns which represented the two Legislative Branches of the government. Therefore, I concluded that the Executive Branch will be represented by the White House which is so prominent and recognizable by people living not only in the US but by most in the World. I further concluded the the Judicial Branch in 2008 will be represented by the image of the Supreme Court.

For sure, I concluded incorrectly for 2007.
