Guarantee its not gold. Gold does not react normally, so it would come out of the ground looking like gold.

How thick is the flan? What does it weigh?

  4. It's bronze with a hint of disease. ha. Gold doesn't corrode; and is, well, Gold colored. It appears to be of Greek origin, with a female Goddess/Nymph/Female likeness on the Obverse, with who knows on the reverse. Maybe a quiver or dolphin?

1.31 grams and 7/8 inches wide. Not sure what a flan is.

A flan is the metal a coin was struck on. I cannot make it out, but given the color I am pretty sure its orichalcum, a form of ancient brass. It looks goldish when cleaned.
