True - But I think he knew what this world was coming to with all the PC crap - His cartoons would not be published in today's world because of the idiots that will scream - "THAT'S OFFENSIVE!" Hard to believe he retired in 95!
I always loved this one ... still gets me even today Gonna go read that sellers other auction listings ... great thread 10/10
That was entertaining. Evidently someone is not to hsppy with the tpgs. I love the Joseph Goebbels reference
I actually like his 85 cc. Tho I think the grade is accurate from his bad pics He may rant but he does know his military history
He may have a personal problem with eBay and the TPG's, but his comments aren't that far off the mark. The one about self numerical assigned grades has the greatest margin of error. IMHO.
Did he write his listing at a Bob Marley concert? Reading it makes me want to vote "no" on any drug legalization referendums...
What the heck does this mean? quote - "THEN IT'S A SLABBED TREASURE WHICH IS AS WORTHLESS AS A BROWN TROUT." closed quote
Made me spit out my coffee laughing...! I nominate this post of the year. If there is such a thing....
Ebay once rejected my attempt to list a modern commem dollar. I finally figured out that is was because I said 'The small spot means it is NOT MS 70.' Changed it to 'choice but not gem' or something like that, no problem. So you can't even use numbers to say what your coin isn't. On the other hand, I have seen worn, damaged junk called 'excellent' or 'superb' condition. Ebay doesn't seem to have a problem with that - just as long as you don't use numbers.
It sounds as though he/she held back as long as possible and, thereafter, just flamed out. I can't really argue with his perspective, but it's an odd place to "let her rip!" I think someone needs to invite him to join Coin Talk, where he can let it all hang out, without recourse. Jack
