No, just grabbed a photo of one in a slab. They want over $1000 for that one.

    Thats insane.

And I am anti-slab for most of my coins ;)

You're kidding!? Besides "surface hairlines," (which, to be fair, I can't really see from that image), the color is really funky. I don't think I'd pay $100 for it much less $1000.

    chrsmat71 I LIKE TURTLES!

i enjoy an occasional off topic thread, and i'm glad we can have them here. i'm interested in you folks here on the forum as well as the coins themselves. i like checking out some of the other stuff you all have and collect...like paper money, cars, swords, artifacts, fossils, meteorite....as well as your dogs, cats, and the music you all like.

You know, as much as I have dropped the 2d onto the carpet, slab would make sense. Just only if I could open it.

Coinworld self slabs don't come that big/thick I haven't seen.

This shows you why you have to be more careful making purchases...I didn't even notice the graffiti on the obverse, and now it's mine. cartwheel.jpg

I have been thinking whether I should send it back or not. It was priced at $60 and I offered $30 not noticing the graffiti : - ( In hand it isn't really repugnant, so I have to think. He has a 14 day return policy.

    I'd send it back myself.

The coins are plentiful and can be bought cheaply in OK condition with patience.
