Reconsideration is for coins that you don't want to lose the holder. Like rattlers, OGH's, and CAC stickered coins.
Still no results from PCGS, but now in Coin Facts is says my coin has a pop of ZERO. This must mean what I think it means... what I've been losing sleep over... right? Upgraded? Please? Still dying here.
Well if you want to just end things now here's a 9mm, a box of shells and some clips. Just be sure to call pcgs and have them change you're return address to mine first
I don't think "stepped into" aptly describes what the OP Appears to have done here. Readers should not be under the illusion that windfalls like this are waiting right around every corner, and are ripe for the picking. Not only do such opportunities require being in the right place at the right time. Capitalizing on them also demands an admirable level of skill, and a significant tolerance for loss. This combination delivers the ability to realize such windfalls with some regularity. Still, even the very best at this do not escape without losses. I suspect C-B-D will be the first to tell you that.
Nothing has happened yet. I don't have a grade, just speculation. And yes, I have loved and lost in this business.
That is evident from many of the posts we've seen. My guess is that the dogged pursuit of those opportunities is responsible for that roll.
Back when I was trolling 1921 Morgans, I looked at every_single_coin presented on every auction house I could find - including Ebay - to a total of maybe a thousand a week, and a good month meant I found 4 worth buying. Most months weren't good. I still look at every 1921 Morgan on Ebay (back then there were about 2,000; now there are >6,000 albeit mostly repeat listings), and see one or two a week I'd contemplate although I'm not buying these days. Such is the life of a variety searcher. Yeah, I know what kind of effort this is costing him.
True. But also in the last few weeks I've had 4 non payments on eBay, relisted them only to break even on them. And earlier this month I scratched a $850 coin by accident with my wedding ring. Gonna take a $500 loss on that one. Lesson for everyone out there... when handling coins, take off all watches and jewelry. Smh.
Still no word. I called again. Stephanie in customer service said she couldn't see why it was being held up and to check back Thursday or Friday. This is business day 8 fo an Express order. I'm so stressed out!
Still nothing. The pop for my coin still says zero, though, and the cert number is still no longer available. Dunno.
