1987 D Cent RPM

Would you consider this a North or South RPM?

If you were to take into consideration the striations in the field, you might conclude that it could be the result of die deterioration rather than an RPM.

I agree, the striations make it harder to determine, but that doubling is very pronounced.

This coin came back from Mr. Wexler as indeed the WRPM-003 he has listed in his files.

 

What's going on with that 2014 shield cent ?

"The 2014 cent is indeed 2014 1¢ WDDO-003 which is already listed in my files. I plan to use this one in my Varieties Notebook column in Coin World. It is scheduled to appear in the August 15, 2016 installment of that column."
