    my name is bill, The question i have for you is could you please explain to me what this is and what is it worth

    it it a $10,000 fedral reserve note struck in 1 pound of silver bar, with chase on the front of it, I have seen the $100 dollar proofs but I am having a hard time finding the $10,000 one...the date on the note is circa 1918 it looks like this

    but in $10,000 amount, I inherited this many years

    You can figure out how much it's worth quite easily if you know the current value of silver. Take the current silver value. Here's a good resource for current bullion values; http://www.kitco.com
    Then, multiply the current value by how many ounces you have. Silver is currently at $5.14 per ounce. If you had sixteen ounces of silver, for example, it would be worth $82.24.
