Major fan of Latvia ... i think recently they have had a lot of their coins minted by Finland and in my opinion finnish mint makes some of the most spectacular looking coins around...

The Mint of Finland has been involved in striking Euro coins for both Greece & Slovenia.

Drusus, that's a very nice 10 Zlotych you've got there. It would be cool if Tom (nhariel) was on board,as this would be right up his street.

I'm a huge fan of this coin in particular, I can't get enough of the portrait. Have been looking for a good example for awhile now.

The only Polish issues I have are some from the 1500s-early 1600s struck for the Duchy of (later East) Prussia and Royal (later West) Prussia. -Preussen

I agree, its a great design...its a pretty big heavy coin as well...sadly my example isnt in that great of shape so I am still looking for a one that is free of nicks :)

Preussen,I thought that you'd be looking for some of the Lodz Ghetto coins for your collection.

Here are some Russian Wire coins. A couple are from the period of Ivan the Terrible I've been told.

The first one is Ivan the Terrible. The rest are of 1615-1645 period (Mikhail Fedorovich) and 1696-1717 (Peter 1).
These are not Denga these are Kopecks.

How can you tell about the denomination ? Isn't it just by size ?
