Are these RPM's??

    Images of two different 1974 D cents. Possible RPM's, yes??? What do you think?

    I'm thinking no. RPM's are generally unmistakable.

    Looks to me more like die deterioration in the area of the mint mark.

    I appreciate your use of the 1956 D/D RPM-001, I just recently found an 1956 D/D RPM-003. Lot of RPM's for the year of 56

    Dog Pound, Dave, Insider, Paul M., thank you all. Die deterioration seems probable, I need to inspect other elements of the coins. For the extreme numbers of 1974 coins (cents) minted, very few errors and RPMs are noted. Amazing!

    the 74 Lincolns are unique as well, I have several Mint sets and there are very pronounced Strike doubling on some at the 4 in the date, as well as some that appear to have an extra hair, etc... I know that there has been some thread discussion on them previously.
