    On a more serious note, I wonder what the proliferation of Red Books will do to the popularity and significance of the original one that we all grew up with. There are certain coins that have been popular and/or considered "keys" to a set strictly by virtue of them being listed there. Will the demand for some of these decrease if a new generation of collectors stops using the original Red Book as their main reference?

    For example, some of the listed "Colonials" have little or no connection with early America, and I'm convinced that they wouldn't be worth as much if they hadn't been listed.
