Glad to see I am not the only one to make that mistake, but I think the coin looks real nice. I would put the coin as MS65/MS66 FB (if I understand it correctly). The coin looks real frosty to me which sometimes can make the pictures hard to grade from. Still a nice coin.
Yes - I know. I like the coin in the very first post better than the 1943. For some reason I just do not like the toning on the next coin. As for the "frosty" comment - to me it looks like the dark spots are only breaks in the mint luster. Kind of like the bag marks on some of my fathers 65 morgans when he scans them. Yes - that is what I based my grade guess from. And now that I went and looked at the heritage scans I like the coin even better. Of course you can always teach me a lesson and send that coin to me to look at for a few years. My collection could use a mercury dime or two, plus some bust dollars if anybody wants to let me adopt them.
so, how much did you pay for the 1942 NGC MS67? i'll go back to my original grade - first thought, right thought - MS 63 FSB. -steve
Too much. I usually make a few bucks but I lost on this one because of an error. Now I'm trying to figure out if it was my error or Heritages. Ruben
