This 1969 series had a error (incomplete nose and hair). I am hoping someone here knows about, or has a reference to this error. Attached is a picture of a coin I recently purchased. The nose is missing part of the columella.
The first picture is the one I purchased, and the other 2 are reference pictures.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    No-one... ?

How would a person research information,or a photo of said error coin?
What resources do the grading services use to verify error coins?

    Thanks

Think it might just be a weak strike, or worn die? instead of an actual mint error

Yes, I agree completely, that's what it kinda looks like.
But with a known nose error for this year type coin, I was hoping to see what the error looked like... maybe for just peace of mind...
    Thanks for your help!

Another difference I just noticed about the coin is the frosted area at the back of the hair.

Hi, Definitely looks like a different die to me. Or a worn die. But you mention its a known error ,so... Don't know a lot about these. But from the evidence presented... Looks like the error coin you mention. have fun...

Hi, not really sure. But something don't look right to me. The chip, out of the first N,It doesn't appear as post mint damage. Yet, there is no metal flow to fill the gap. I'm no pro though, just my observation...

Good eye... under high magnification this appears to be a tiny die chip/flaw. it is not as deep as it appears.

Good-day, does anyone have a newer world coin catalog, and if so, can you tell me what the description say for this coin?
I have a 2015 edition and it says this error is "incomplete nose and hair"...
ANACS is calling it "overpolished die"
