When using a USPS Small Flat Rate box, be sure to cover up the ends of the box where tab A folds into slot B using tape or a label. I can open up the end of one of these boxes, remove the contents, and re-close the box in 10 seconds or so. I imagine a thief working at the post office is just as good at this as I am. I also imagine you'd rather have your coins delivered than have to make an insurance claim.
I always do! Chris PS. Note to self: Apply Gorilla Glue to all tabs when sending small Priority Flat Rate box to John. Better yet, enclose a brown recluse or black widow spider.
No need. Just institute a 30 day quarantine period on all submissions. Nothing like making people wait a month just for you to open their coins to stop any pestky type shenanigans
Tape both ends and tape the fold. They just don't stay closed. It was designed by a government engineer.
I've have always used these boxes, never had any issues. I've always completely tape the box, with packing tape. That way no worries about being tampered with.
Oh, one more thing I just thought of - my PO has special Priority Mail packing tape that works well for these. If you ask nicely, they let you use it. Even cheaper.
