I just found this penny and I wanted more opinions on it. It is the first penny that i have found that I am certain is doubling of some sort. I have a Cherrypickers guide and the variety shown in there I don't think matches what I have. From other readings I have done, I lean toward machine doubling on this coin. If that's true, it has virtually no value over face? I still love it because like i said, my first find!! Thank you for any input!

MD. You're looking in the right place though. If the doubling looks "shelf like" it's machine doubling.

It looks like die deterioration to me.

    I'll split it with you.

50% machine doubling, 50% die deterioration.
