A Coin with Stripes ?

    I know that i am very new at coin collecting, so how come i have not heard of " Lincoln Stripes". Everybody can see the STRIPES ,....right ? I am very curios as to what is the cause, thank you

    It's called a woodie. A type of tone from the medals not mixed correctly . Some pay a small premium for these depending on how nice they look.

    Another bit of sage advice from the meat man! I thought a woodie was something else entirely...

    Yes it is....... as a water fowler years ago a woodie was slang for a Wood Duck.

    Paddy, I'll have to show you the carving I have...the guy that did it won several carving competitions and died shortly after he did mine.
