So, out of probably 5-6 rolls of 76d ikes from my purportedly SDB stash I found about a dozen with a unique die chip or ? Directly under the 3rd 7. Almost looks like the tip serif of the 7 dropped. Very unique position, in the middle of the field, and looking like the tip of the 7 makes me want to share and get others thoughts / opinions on it. Here's 5 of them... Do you think this might qualify as a variety @19Lyds @Rick Stachowski
I don't think it's anything of particular note. If anything at all, it means that the rolls you have all came from the same bag. Those all appear to be Type 2 Reverses?
It's not a variety, but an error ( Strike-Through ) . Since there more then one the OP owns, and from the images it's moving, now it's a progressive strike-through ..
Never heard of a progressive strikethrough rick. Any links explaining it? Maybe I should send all dozen or so I have to @mikediamond or maybe Wexler to review?
Here's when I showed the coins to Ken http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/black-eyed-grant Here's after Ken seen them http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/black-eyed-grant-cause-explained Then Mike Diamond seen them and added progressive to them ...
Wow. I'm thinking you may be on to something rick. Think I'll ping mike instead if wait around for him. Very interesting
I sold about 10 of the first image for 28 bucks a piece . Keep the really good ones ... Also gave Ken one of the number 4 image ones ...
