does anyone know the diameter of the 1855 French 10 centimes? I don't have access to the 19th century Krause at the moment.

i needed to id an oddly worn coin - the denomination is worn off and i wasn't sure if it was 5 or 10 - it's 5.

    thanks.

Steve, the denomination is expressed in words, not numerals - 'CINQ' is '5',& 'DIX' is '10'.

i am aware that the coin denomination is written on it with the word, not a numeral - i just tweaked this picture which shows traces of the Q - i can not see that with my loupe due to glare on the 2x2 mylar and the brown tone of the coin and thus the need to measure. if only i had my Krause back... my co-worker is sorting through is father's estate and it's going to be awhile before i get it back.
