I bought a coin from Vcoins, dealer in in Australia. I bought it on the 22nd of Feb. It still shows its in Australia. Not sure when to consider it lost.
I have bought several items on Ebay which were mailed from Australia to California. They took an average of two weeks to arrive.
Well its been three weeks and its not left Australia, Says label has been created but its not shipped yet.
When an item is shipped over seas the tracking stops when it exits the country of origin...then goes into customs...the seller maybe able to track the buyer not so much. Be glad it wasn't from Switzerland thats over a month.
Be patient as you’re dealing with outbound Australian customs and inbound US customs. Not sure which is worse but US customs is a joke. I’ve had personal experience from them.
Punch the Australian tracking # into the USPS.com site - sometimes the USPS maps those two. BUT, if Australia says that only the label has been created, then they don't have the shipment and that's on the dealer. VCoins is just a marketplace. Call the actual dealer...
Things having to go through customs can get hung up and take a long time. The only way to get fast deliver, is to have a live person carry the items.
Been out of town for a bit. Tracking shows it has not left the country yet and its over a month. Shipping shows air shipped
Based on responses to the Thread title question, apparently it takes a rather long time. (Don't hit me).
I don't think I will order anything outside the North American area in future. Not unless its really a great buy.
