Idk, they haven't even shipped mine yet to take a look at one. Online chat says theyre taking extra precautionary measures to ensure household limits are strictly followed as they're sending them out. Says mine's still processing.
There shouldn't have been but there are. A few graded, most people designated a 69 or 70 as the minimum grade so we will never really know how many 68s and down there are. Trying to figure out their quality control is like trying to figure out the meaning of life, it's nothing but guesses. How do their proof coins come with finger prints sometimes, how are so many of their mint sets baggy and spotted, the list goes on and on.
The US Mint is among the lesser world mints these days in terms of quality control, and design quality for that matter. And these "errors" are being purchased by people with more money than brains.
Almost all the HSN coins are over priced. With Anac slabs are that you going to have trouble selling it compared to PCGS and NGC for what the price you wanted. You will get argument from buyer about the grade. I am saying that PCGS or NGC are perfect, but to compare it with Anac you will see the difference. I also got my orders and with (5) coins none I see will be MS70. So it wasn't worth the time and money for going to the grader.
If you want graded coins to flip, I suggest finding a dealer that is buying these in quantity to submit in bulk to PCGS or NGC and working out a trade that leaves you with a graded MS69. For example, if you have 10 and a dealer is offering $225 each plus your shipping, see if he'll pay issue price for 9 and trade even up for a graded MS69 for the 10th. You save the grading fees and hassle of disposing of the other 9 coins into a market that might be in decline as you get your coins back, and you end up with a free slabbed MS69. Yeah, the dealer gets all the 70s, but also eats all the grading costs and seller fees.
I am wondering "he" might be a spambot, copying and pasting answers posted by other members... ok back to the topic. Anybody got full bands?
This can only be a meaningful statement if you know how many they submitted. If they blow out the 69's and you never see them, then it looks like they have a near 100% 70 rating.
