Would this error silver dime be worth grading?

Hey all, I bought a bunch of junk silver and pulled this 1960 dime out. I am not in any way schooled on errors, but I know the back looks like it was hit once or twice with the obverse die (see the 1960 in the bottom, "god" on the top flame etc). Any idea if I was to send it to anacs for their service if it would be worth it (I am guessing no)? I have already ruled out pcgs as they are quite costly for errors.

    Thanks! Photo on 5-8-16 at 3.26 PM #2.jpg Photo on 5-8-16 at 3.26 PM #3.jpg Photo on 5-8-16 at 3.26 PM.jpg

In my opinion, nothing which occurs during the coining process could have caused what appears on your coin. As such, it appears to be nothing more than a damaged coin which could not be graded. However, the "opinion" presented by the grader would cost you your grading fee's.

Post mint damage it looks like.

I would agree with this evaluation - the coin has been viciously damaged rather than anything happening at the Mint. Note the impressions from another Dime are mirrored - that could only happen by having another coin hammered against it. Somebody had too much idle time. :)

In other words, the lettering, including the designer's initials, and partial date are backwards. This means that two coins were sandwiched together, probably in a vise............PMD!

I've searched multiple tens of thousands of dollars and have never run across coins like these. I must be in the wrong place... :p

Well then! Would not have guessed that and am glad I did not pay for grading on it then lol. Thought it might have been a nice little 20 dollar bonus, but alas it will go bag into the pile.

    Thanks guys!

There are some nice striking errors, that can come from the collar . This one called a stiff collar strike .
