Thanks Insider, and everyone else for your help!! Just remembered my wife has a really good scale to weigh very small items.....I just weighed some 1960 Penney s and they all came in at 11KG....Weighed the FLAT/FAT penny and it came in as 12KG....Weighed them all a few times and the weight was always the same...What do you think? Yes, Insider...I do have my fingers and toes crossed!!!...Just found out that it is really hard to walk like this!!
I found some wheats and did what you recommended Insider and weighed them...They came in at the same weight as that FLAT/FAT penny, .12kg...
weighs in as 3grams....Same weight as a wheat penny...And I just found another FAT/FLAT penny so you certainly are right Insider, there are plenty of them FAT/FLAT pennies out there.....So nothing special here.... Keep Looking...............
and just as a reference, pretty 82s weigh 3.11 and post 82s weigh 2.5, with 82s being a mix. 1982 is the year they switched to copper coated zinc
Just fort the record Smokin Joe, you used a micro caliper. Fine for this use, but a micrometer would be more precise.
