Its silver and the other king edward coin that you fell in love with . I have fallen in love with as well. Would you say $20 is fair price for this one? Thanks.

That's a very nice Divided Inscription subtype 2 Annas you've got there. The 2 Annas is in fact one of the hardest coins to get in this early issue from India itself.

I would happily pay $20 for that but if you are buying it in person dont forget to haggle LOL

I would price that at $50+ possibly, depending on what the tone looks like. Very nice bargain.

50$+ wow thats a lot of money i don't think i would have been able to buy at that price even at $ 20 i had to think about it for 2 whole days.

You've got it right Spock.. In Indian market, that coin will worth around $10 in this condition... The 2 Annas coins of Qeen Victoria after 1862 are pretty hard to get in good condition, as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure about the same in the U.S.

It would be worth more over here in the UK that I do know, Indian coins are becoming scarse (Unfortunatly)

i think good indian coins are hard to get in gem uncirculated condition or better so a premium is justified thats why i shelled the $20 out. I doubt ill get gem unc or better coins in india for cheap unless spiral has had that experience. Ill se eif i can get a couple of good 2 anna coins after 1862. :)

You'll definitely get gem pieces here.. but the only thing is that you should be at the right place at the right time.. You gotta watch continuously.. The thing is that if you're from a foreign country, the price will go up.. so its always better to have a fellow Indian companion with you when you're going for shopping.. ;) And dont expect some good coins through the internet from here in India as 99% of Indian dealers are computer illiterates..
