    Here's a: why isn't this a grade higher proofkike Morgan dollar. IMAG1398_1.jpg
BTW, I've always heard the grades are looser for DMPL Morgan's. I guess that rule doesn't apply to prooflikes?

    I don't know , it looks like it should be a 64 , but then I don't think PCGS likes dark toning . Maybe that's why !

I like the coin just as it is. If it doesn't upgrade, it is still a nice PL.

    I'm not sure it's a coin toss.

Yeah, I agree that PCGS tends to come down hard on dark toning. NGC is more liberal about it, and I prefer them on toned coins to begin with. PCGS goes for a lower grade the minute they see "fade to black" in the toning pattern.

The photos were taken in poor lighting and may very well be hiding things. Grading from pictures is difficult enough; grading and comparing photos from two photos with vastly different quality and technique is almost impossible.

I pick up what u are laying down, the photo doesn't show the nice blue/magenta album toning either or the eye appeal as good..... but there is sufficient enough light to show 95% of the hits, scuffs, scrapes, gouges and dings, it also shows the frosty luster and very deep mirrors this coin has to offer. And oh yea, dmpl/pl coins are not graded as conservative -ly as BS because of the higher visibility of the hits in focal areas
