    Nice coins everyone! Here's another quinarius:

    Fulvia.png
    Fulvia, 41 BC
    Lugdunum mint
    AR quinarius 1.66gm - 13 mm
    Obv: No legend, windged head of Fulvia? As the goddess Victory right, III VIR R P C
    Rev: lion walking right, ANTONI IMP above/below lion, and with date numeral A - XLI (=year 41) flanking

    Wow, pretty interesting... 1st Wife of Mark Antony? Is this one of the first portraits of an "Imperator-ess" on Roman coinage?

    While there were other women depicted on coinage (such as Cleopatra I), I believe Fulvia was the first living women depicted on a Roman coin.
