Did you ever think to look right in front of you ? You can find just about all of the price guides right here on Coin Talk - Price Guides - without violating any rules. And thru the links provided you could purchase last month's Grey Sheet for less than $3.

In the time that it's taken this post to run it's course, you could have gone to any Borders or Barnes & Noble, had a cup of coffee or 2 and taken notes out of the Red Book while you did. Also, there is usually a library in every city.

Moral of the story ..The Red Book..never leave home without it.

Well, I made it to the preview, the coins were much nicer than what I thought they were going to be. it was a COMPLETE set of morgans with all MS65 AND UP except for 3 key dates in very fine condition. Even the super key was there. The keys were in very old anans slabs and one had on "top 100" sticker on it. As soon as I saw it I said "$14,000", which later turned out to be $2,000 more than the reserve, not a bad guess. NO one in the auctiuon house bid, there was two phone bidders from out of town (it was advertised) and the bidding went up to $9,000 then no one would go higher. A good deal but it didn't sell due to the reserve. In stuff not related to coins, they had alot of neat stuff, like african throwing knives and player piano rolls (100 for $20)
