I'm not buying coins, not buying coins, i bought some coins :), i'm saving up for a new roof this spring, got my tax return back and is going to help with that expense, so Wednesday night at our club meeting, i went crazy:rolleyes:. 2 Ancients and some gold. My guy, travels to Europe on business, he came back with a bunch of new coins.
i'll just say that there finding hoards that are not in the news, he was able to buy over 50 of these coins from a large lot. Constantine, here's 8 of them.

That's a wonderful 'hoard' of coins !!! I'd be sooo tempted to buy more than three :hungry:

@Eng I congratulate you on your 'discipline' and especially those three absolutely terrific coins!!:)

I can't post any off the wagon posts since after just purchasing two additional RR denarii I'm just going ON the wagon again (LOL). I will post this Domitian example just preceding it---unfortunately, the main reason it appealed to me is the same reason it disappoints me.:(

The reverse, it is suggested, depicts Domitian as he rode in his Fathers (and Titus') triumph in 71 AD over the Jews.....

Nice wagon fall. I would enjoy those bagged ancients more. And great on the gold.

    Nice Domitian, Mikey.

Thanks all, haven't been posting a lot lately, working in my garden, some fishing and went panning for gold, stayed in a tee-pee and froze to death, 30 degrees. water was high, not much gold.

Panning for gold sounds like a fun way to spend the day, although not when combined with freezing temperatures :D.

1346K (1,346,000). That's still considered low for a modern issue, right? Regardless of numbers, that's a beautiful design :)
