Hello! Does anyone have an idea of the grading of these two Carson City Morgan Dollars? Also, can anyone say just looking at the photos of they are fake or not? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
81cc f12 details but I would grade it vg8+ 84 looks to have slight wear though the surfaces look lifeless possibly due to photo, au58
Hi, both look real. Number One is heavily circulated, in condition fine. Number two seems to be uncirculated. Nice piece, yours?
Thanks for the inputs here! These are coins I'm considering buying, but am not able to see them in real life before making an offer so wanted to get some third-party advice. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree with the others that both are real . The 1st appears F and the '84 looks MS if the luster is there , which I think it is but really can't tell from your pic . I'd go 64 or 65 if the luster is all there . Is it as you have her in hand ?
They are both real, IMHO. The 81cc is no better than VG to F 10-12. The 84cc looks like an AU details cleaned coin.
MD , I figured either details or more likely a scan or pic that's hiding the luster . I sure wish the op would answer if in hand the cartwheel is there or not .
I agree with you completely. If it is a poor scan that is robbing the luster, then it is an AU coin as there is a tiny bit of rub on the high surfaces, making it look like a poor strike, which it isn't.
81 vg details damage. It could straight grade but it's pretty beat up 84 au details cleaning. A high au slider someone cleaned to pass as unc Both are 100% real
Thanks for all the inputs. The coins were graded by the auction firm as VG/F (1881) and MS (1884).MS grade not specified. They were sold today for $100 and $200 respectively. I was unfortunately not able to grab them... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
